Tips for gathering evidence to demonstrate your skills

The important thing to remember when gathering evidence is that the more evidence the better - that is, the more evidence you gather to demonstrate your skills, the more confident an assessor can be that you have learned the skills not just at one point in time, but are continuing to apply and develop those skills (as opposed to just learning for the test!). Furthermore, one piece of evidence that you collect will not usualy demonstrate all the required criteria for a unit of competency, whereas multiple overlapping pieces of evidence will usually do the trick!

CUADES523 - Design virtual and hybrid events

What evidence can you provide to prove your understanding of each of the following citeria?

Prepare to design virtual and hybrid events

  1. Analyse design briefs and event information to determine event scope, objectives, time frames, target audience and design requirements
  2. Confirm roles and responsibilities in design process, as required
  3. Identify work health and safety (WHS) issues, licensing and regulatory requirements and operational factors that may affect the design of events

Generate and evaluate design ideas for the events

  1. Develop different ideas that address design requirements
  2. Research, analyse and assess technology, equipment and venue options
  3. Collaborate with relevant personnel and discuss ideas of others
  4. Evaluate ideas in line with requirements of design briefs and industry trends
  5. Select ideas that best meet design briefs and operational factors
